Janine has been an exceptional physiotherapist who has worked with our daughter since she was four months old. Our daughter was diagnosed with torticollis and global developmental delay, and Janine provided very measured and considerate exercises customized to her needs. When the pandemic began, we continued with virtual monthly visits that were accommodative to our schedule. There was no interruption or change to the meticulous care we were receiving and the virtual touch points were very convenient and accessible. Janine is exactly what you want in a paediatric physiotherapist! She is professional, well organized, knowledgeable, and - most importantly - an extremely kind and caring person. She was recommended to us by our son's paediatrician and we are thrilled that we have been able to work with her. She works with parents and children in your own home, making the entire process stress-free and comfortable (both for the child and for you!). She was able to do an overall assessment of our son and provide really easy, simple techniques we can use to help our son progress in his development. She provided us with hand-outs of all of the information, so we had references to use after she left and she followed-up with us after our visit to ensure everything was going well and to answer any of our questions. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!
Janine is a knowledgeable, assiduous and empathetic therapist. She is also an exceptionally kind individual. She has been a pivotal part of our son’s first year of life- our son was not meeting any gross motor milestones and he suffered from a significant case of torticollis. Janine is consistently punctual and helpful during each session. We are always struck by how diligently Janine works with our child and always with a smile and a positive attitude. After observations, Janine takes note of his challenges and each session, she tailors a straightforward program for my son. Exercises and strategies are easily implemented in our busy lives and they have been effective in helping him reach milestones. She also provides tips on choosing toys and activities that would further areas of motor development. Janine genuinely cares about my son’s progress and she has cheered on every accomplishment! We are incredibly grateful for her meticulous care and expertise!
My daughter has been working with West Ottawa Physio since she was 10 months old. Janine continues to be instrumental in her recovery from a stroke and the progress is outstanding. Janine finds a balance between challenging her physically to build strength but not pushing her too far. My daughter is always happy to see Janine at each appointment and it is a pleasure to have her in our home. I highly recommend!
Janine is fantastic! She is always professional, kind, empathetic and patient. She is excellent at keeping my three year old engaged in her physio for hip dysplasia and in communicating with me. Having her come to the house has also been invaluable for minimizing the stress on my child and maximizing what we can get out of each physiotherapy session. We are so grateful to her for all of her skilled help.
Our family first met Janine when our daughter was just 11 months old. She had just been diagnosed with global developmental delay and had only JUST begun to stay in a sitting position when placed that way on the floor. She wasn't rolling consistently, could not get herself into a sitting position and HATED tummy time because she just did not have the strength to do it. Janine was so wonderful with our daughter and us. We were just a bit outside of their range so we made arrangements to meet somewhere in between. With bi weekly appointments and some amazing support from Janine, our daughter was rolling, sitting up independently and then CRAWLING by 15 moths old and walked independently at 19 months. At the age of 2.5 years, she is now so close to being on par with her peers physically. We could never thank Janine enough for everything she did for us. I highly recommend Janine. Her positive, can do, attitude serves as such a beacon of light in, what can be tough, uncertain times with a child who has been diagnosed with a delay or physical issue. Its hard not to be optimistic when you find such an amazing professional who goes above and beyond to provide your child with the absolute highest quality of care and assistance!
Janine Piscione is very professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable. She’s been working with my youngest son since March and he has made great lengths with her continued support, guidance and superb care.
